One of the biggest bummers of certain skin treatments is that they are not for everybody. We all have unique types of skin tones with different kinds of skin problems. While one skin treatment may be PERFECT for a person who has acne-prone, oily skin, they may not be a good fit for someone who has dry, cracked skin. It sometimes seems that there’s no one-size-fits-all for skincare treatments. However, that is where Aerolase proves that thought wrong!
Aerolase is a laser skin treatment that is perfect for just about any skin issue, whether it be acne, fine lines, wrinkles, rosacea, sun damage… the list goes on! No matter your skin type, for most cases, this miraculous treatment gives your skin that airbrushed look without the Photoshop. The Aerolase laser is approved by the FDA for a TON of different skin issues, such as removing scars, acne or hairs; treating veins; reducing wrinkles; helping with pigmentation/melasma; and tightening the skin. Not many skin treatments can say that they help with this many different types of issues so effectively, but Aerolase truly is the jack of all trades!
Now, we know what you’re thinking, especially if you’re a person who has ever been excluded from skin treatments with certain lasers because of your skin tone. A lot of lasers just target any contract or darkness in your skin, and when a person has skin that is maybe too dark to give enough contract with the blemishes or hair on their face, then these lasers cannot be used effectively. Along with that, increased melanin can put you at an increased risk for experiencing side effects with certain types of lasers, such as hypo or hyperpigmentation. That is not the case for Aerolase, which is part of what makes it so amazing!
So, what makes the Aerolase so unique, and why can it be used on so many skin types while other laser treatments can’t? To put it simply, the Aerolase uses 650-microsecond pulse duration in its treatment. Okay, so what the heck does that mean? Essentially, the high-energy pulse that derives from the Aerolase hand piece is put into the skin in a very short pulse duration, and 650-microseconds is a shorter amount of time than your skin’s “thermal relaxation time,” meaning that the skin actually has time to cool itself down between the hand piece delivering pulses to it. the heat is limited to whatever targets have absorbed it. This means that those targeted structures in the skin, such as acne, hair, scars, and so on retain that heat and the energy from the laser, while at the same time, the skin around the laser does not become hot or uncomfortable. This is all thanks to that astonishing 650-microsecond pulse duration! Longer pulses cause more heat retention within the skin, which is what often makes certain skin treatments very uncomfortable, as well as create the risk for burns or changes within your skin’s pigment.
Okay, so now that you know how inclusive Aerolase is as a skin treatment, here’s an idea: give the gift of beauty or treat yourself! That’s right –Bam, Aerolase. You don’t have to worry about the treatment not working on the recipient’s skin or any issues like that because Aerolase is one-size-fits-all for any skin type and for any skin issue. Because of that, it makes the perfect beauty gift for anybody on your list!
